The Powerful Owl has had chicks! Oct 2014
It has been a while since I've tried locating the Powerful Owl along the river. Usually I would see it roosting in the same tree but there had been a few occasions where I couldn't find it and wondered if it had moved on. One time I had seen a second owl with it and I was hopeful that they were a breeding pair. Today's sighting confirmed this to be true! It took a little while to locate them as they were in a different tree a little further away but the pair have 2 beautiful, healthy looking chicks.
